T's Philosophy
Our minds and bodies are so closely connected. Everything we experience has an affect on our physical health. I want to work with each person to find what their body needs. I love using a combination of techniques to address specific areas in each individual's body. With this approach, no session will be exactly the same.
Services
I offer a variety of services including Deep Tissue, Swedish massage, prenatal massage, silent massage, lymph drainage massage, cupping, gua sha, specialized kinesiology and energy work. Each service is available with no extra charge depending on what my client needs.
Relax and Rejuvenate with T'S Massage
Swedish Massage
A very popular massage, the Swedish massage is a relaxing full-body massage using long, smooth strokes to ease tension and promote relaxation.
Deep Tissue Massage
This massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscles and connective tissues. It is ideal for those who suffer from chronic pain or have sustained physical injury. It is generally more focused on the areas that need extra attention
Prenatal Massage
This massage is tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies. It can help to alleviate discomfort and promote relaxation during all stages of pregnancy.
Manual Lymph Drainage
This is a special modality that can be integrated into a massage session or done as a stand-alone session. This modality is very light but very effective for managing swelling, assisting in the healing process from injuries or surgeries (especially areas that are not able to receive massage), and stimulating the lymphatic system to boost the immune system.
Energy Work
T is trained in Reiki (level 1) and is a student of Healing Touch (Level 2). She loves integrating these techniques into her sessions or doing stand-alone energy work sessions. These sessions can be thought of as a very specific and powerful prayer. Stand-alone sessions are done fully clothed.
Specialized Kinesiology
This modality uses muscle testing to identify imbalances in the body's energy system. It is great for identifying areas in the body that are emotionally or energetically stuck and releasing them. In a stand-alone session you are fully clothed.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping Therapy is a modality that is used in conjunction with massage. T uses small vessels or 'cups' to place and sometimes pull across an area to stimulate metabolic activity, improve immune function, stabilize blood biochemistry. This modality can leave round or larger marks that look similar to bruising, they generally last about a week but can last longer depending on a person's body and how badly their body needs this technique.
Gua Sha
This technique uses a small tool (metal or stone) to scrape and/or rub an area promoting relief and healing. It can leave small red rash-like bumps that usually dissipate after a few days.
